The P.O.W.E.R. Group

As the first African American grassroots economic development fund in the region, we are dedicated to fostering prosperity and equity through the principles of cooperative economics.

P.O.W.E.R. stands for People Owning Wealth & Equitable Real-estate, reflecting our commitment to empowering individuals and communities to take ownership of their economic destinies.

Inspired by the principle of UJAMAA from KWANZAA, we embody the spirit of cooperative economics, striving to build our own businesses, control our community's economics, and share in its work and wealth.

How You Can Contribute:

Why Join Us Today?:

The P.O.W.E.R. Group offers every donor the opportunity to participate in BUYING BACK and REDEVELOPING our community in the same spirit as O. W. Gurley; in 1906, when he purchased 40 acres of land and birthed Black Wall Street on Greenwood. The funds generated will be used for land acquisition and community development in North Tulsa.
